YOUTH

The  Holy Trinity youth group (middle and high school) meets every Sunday from 4-6 pm. This year, we are joining the youth of First Christian and First Presbyterian churches so we have blossomed to a group that averages from 25 to 50 people! The time together provides teens and young adults to discuss God in their own way and ask questions in a safe and open environment. A snack is served with the opportunity to interact and play games before worship.

Our “Lil’ Saints” group meets weekly on Sundays from 5-6:30, serving youth in 4th through 6th grades.

Our younger children are ministered to at Sunday School, Children’s Chapel, Nursery and during the summer at Vacation Bible School.

Share The Gospel!

Miss a Sunday? Not able to make it to Church? We provide online videos of weekly sermons.

Check Out one of our recent sermons:

We publish each sermon on our Sermons page as a podcast or video download so you can easily find whichever sermon you want to listen to, watch or burn a DVD.

stewardship

Dearest  Parishioners

At Holy Trinity by the Lake, as in the rest of the Episcopal Church, stewardship is considered an essential part of our life in Christ.   We believe that one of the ways we can love God and our fellow man is to contribute from the blessings that God has given us to the work that He has given us to do.   It is appropriate that at Thanksgiving we prayerfully consider our contribution of Treasure.

The way this works is that during September and October the stewardship committee develop plans for the campaign, which this year has been given the theme of Living Generously.  Any member of the parish can become part of the committee.

During November everyone receives a letter and a pledge card so that they can record their anticipated giving for the coming year.  You will be asked to indicate an amount and the frequency of your gift (weekly, monthly, annually).   The grand total of these amounts reflect the overall commitment of the parish to the Holy Trinity at this place and is used as the income estimate for next year’s budgets.

The weekend of November 12 and 13 is our ingathering when you are asked to bring your card, sealed in the envelope provided, to be offered to God for His blessing at any one of the three services.   At noon on Sunday November 13 we will have a celebratory “Thanks for Giving” lunch in the parish hall.

During December the total ingathering will be tabulated and presented to the heads of ministries and the vestry for planning and budgeting for next year.   The results will be detailed at the parish annual meeting in January.

Everyone is urged to keep stewardship in their prayers at all times, but particularly during this assessment of our gifts from our treasure.  Look out for service bulletin inserts, special sermons and announcements, church Facebook postings and additions to the website. You can download your pledge card here, fill it out and mail it in or place it in the offering plate. Pledge cards are also available in the pews and in the narthex.

  • Endowment

The Endowment Fund provides a means for parishioners and others to contribute to projects and programs beyond the scope of the annual resources of the church. Holy Trinity began as a small church serving a semi-rural area. It is now an expanding church serving a growing area. Just as the congregation and facilities of the church have grown, so have the challenges to fulfill its mission. To meet these opportunities, the church needs support beyond its annual budget. The Fund provides a secure base for outreach ministries and grants; seed money for new ministries and one-time projects; capital needs; and purposes as approved by the Vestry and the Board. For more information, download our Endowment Fund Brochure.

  • United Thank Offering

uto

In the early years the Women’s Auxiliary collected the money at the General Convention and their focus was on expanding the mission of the church. Grants supported training women in the church, supporting and sending women missionaries domestically and overseas and funding the building of schools, hospitals and church buildings all over the USA. Now, their projects are much broader. Every penny of our offerings are added to amounts sent in by other Episcopal churches in the U.S. and used for mission projects. If you would like to take part in this work get a Blue Box from the rack in the narthex. Use the box prayerfully and add the amount you collect to our next ingathering in the spring and fall. Or you can give securely online to UTO any time via this link:
